An Italian in Paris

My recent paintings tell events, like short films.
We all remember only the general impression and one small particular of the moments we live. One small detail and the overall atmosphere.
The faces I draw in my paintings are real, fragments stolen from friends and passers-by. Part of the fun is drawing them without being seen. Later I paint, recreating the emotion, the event. And adding a title, which in Italian is hendecasyllabic. (Roughly translated to give the general idea).
Someone says that my paintings are abstract, but it's not true. To prove that, one day last October I decided to go back to the same places I had painted and to take photos. Sort of a retrospective, but shot in a different season, reproducing the way I work.
